First, this card offers a 5% rebate on all transactions made online or via Visa PayWave, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay or Android Pay. Not only that, DBS is providing an additional promotion of welcome bonus cash back. As long as you spend at least S$600 per month on the card, DBS Live Fresh Card can help save up to S$60/month on your online transactions.

Why DBS Live Fresh Credit Card Stands Out

DBS Live Fresh Credit Card is without a doubt the best cashback credit card for online shoppers because it offers an unmatched cashback rate of up to 10% on online and mobile transactions. First, it has a baseline reward of 5% rebate for all online and mobile payments. This means 5% savings with not only the major online marketplaces like Amazon and Lazada, as well as Grab, Uber, FoodPanda and Deliveroo, but also with any offline retail locations that accept mobile payments like Applye Pay, Android Pay and Samsung Pay. With rebates of up to 5% for all your online travel bookings, shoppings and food delivery orders, this card is uniquely attractive to millennials who spend a big chunk of their money online or via mobile payments.

However, DBS Live Fresh Card isn't without its own weaknesses. First, you must spend at least S$600 on the card every month to enjoy these high levels of cashback. Given that all of its rewards are centered around digital expenditures, not everyone may find it easy to meet this requirement regularly. Also, though it's actually on the high end of the market, it's worth pointing out that DBS caps the total rebate you can earn on this card at S$60 per month.

Overall, DBS Live Fresh Card is an excellent cashback card for millennials, young adults or any other active online shoppers. DBS is also offering a generous welcome gift of up to S$200 cashback when you apply online for your card. Together with the annual fee of S$128.4 which is waived for 1 year, you can enjoy this high reward card for almost free for 3 years. Maximum cashback on online spend, low spending requirements and almost 3 years of free usage makes DBS Live Fresh Credit Card a necessary addition to anyone’s wallet who wants to maximize their reward on everything. Afterall, what can you not buy online in Singapore nowadays?

DBS Live Fresh Card vs Other Cards by Dollar Value*

DBS Live Fresh Card vs DBS Black Card

DBS Black Card is likely the best cashback card for active shoppers who enjoy visiting department stores as well as online retailers. With its 5% rebate on all shopping expenditures in Singapore and overseas, this card is quite versatile in helping you save no matter where you buy your bags, clothes or jewelleries. As with DBS Live Fresh Card, this card also comes with a minimum monthly spend requirement of S$700. Not only that, it is a bit more expensive to use than DBS Live Fresh Card with an annual fee of S$192.6 that is waived for 1 year. Overall, we recommend going with DBS Black Card if you like to shop offline frequently. For heavy online spenders, DBS Live Fresh Card would do better.

DBS Live Fresh Card vs Standard Chartered SingPost Spree Card

Standard Chartered SingPost Spree Credit Card is a unique cashback card for online shoppers because it is essentially the only one without a monthly spending requirement. Given this, it's likely the easiest card to use to earn rebates online. However, it comes with one major caveat: its reward rate is actually quite low at 2% for local online spends and 3% for foreign currency online spends.

DBS Live Fresh Card vs OCBC 365 Card

OCBC 365 Card is an excellent no-annual fee cashback card with a very diverse set of reward categories. In terms of its online shopping awards, OCBC 365 provides a rebate of 3%, which is lower than DBS Live Fresh Card's online transaction reward rate. If you want a more general purpose cashback card (especially one without an annual fee), whoever, we would recommend going with OCBC 365, since its benefits also include things like dining and groceries, while its annual fee is also waived for those who spend S$10,000 per year. Also, this card has a slightly lower monthly minimum spend requirement of S$600.

DBS Live Fresh Card vs OCBC Frank Card

OCBC Frank Card is another great cashback card to use for online transactions that we recommend for young professionals or millennials who want to maximise savings on online shopping & entertainment. Its 6% cash rebate on all eligible online transactions (including mobile payments) is actually even higher than DBS Live Fresh Card's reward rate outside of Live Fresh Card's special 10% rebate vendors. Not only that, this card is extremely cheap to use: its annual fee of S$80 is waived for 2 years automatically, and then again in subsequent years for an annual spend of S$10,000. It also boasts the lowest minimum spend among online shopping cards of S$400 per month, with the exception of SC SingPost Spree Card that doesn't even have a requirement. Combining these traits with another 5% cash rebate on entertainment expenses and S$60 maximum monthly rebate makes OCBC Frank Card ideal for young adults.

*ValueChampion calculates the dollar value of rewards based on S$2,000 of monthly spending. We sum the value of points, miles and cashback in dollar terms and subtract the annual fee over a 24-month period.
