It’s also worth mentioning a very unique benefit specific to SC Visa Infinite Card. Top Miles Rewards without Added Fees: OCBC 90°N Card

Consider this if you're an overseas traveller looking to rapidly accrue miles without fees or complication, and are willing to forgo perks

Annual Income Requirement S$30,000
Foreigner Income Requirement S$45,000
Promotions:
  • Receive 7,000 bonus miles w/ S$5k spend in 3mo
  • Earn S$50 rebate w/ card approval

Currently, OCBC 90°N Card offers the absolute best overseas rewards rate on the market: 4 miles per S$1 spend. This rewards rate also extends to spend with select airlines (SIA, SilkAir, AirAsia & more) and entertainment vendors (Netflix, Spotify). Even further, booking with AirBnB or through sites like Agoda earns 8 miles per S$1 spend. Overall, it's possible to rapidly accrue miles at any point of your journey–from booking your stay to actually making purchases abroad. Beyond its top rates, OCBC 90°N Card is also competitive for its affordability. There are no miles conversion fees and the S$192.6 annual fee is waived the 1st year, then offset by 10,000 annual bonus miles (worth approx. S$100).

There are a few things to point out, nonetheless. The rates mentioned above expire in February 2020, and cardholders will earn 1.2 miles per S$1 locally and 2.1 miles overseas thereafter. While not nearly as high, these rates are still competitive. Additionally, OCBC 90°N Card is quite streamlined, and doesn't offer many travel perks. Cardholders are granted lounge access, but there is an entrance fee of USD$27+ per visit. That being said, OCBC 90°N Card's impressive promotion and competitiveness even after it ends are by far worth considering, with lounge access as an ancillary perk. If you're travelling this holiday season, consider making more of your spend with OCBC 90°N Card.

Conclusion

Considering that most flights are not that comfortable, the last thing a busy and tired person wants to do is walk around the airport and fight for sitting space at the gate area. Lounge access can be a great place for you to relax even just for 10-15 minutes before heading over to your gate. Couches are more comfortable, bathrooms are cleaner and there are even free drinks! Given that these cards give you free access to such a great deal, we recommend you to actively utilize perks to squeeze every dollar of value from your travel credit cards. Rewards credit cards often cost a meaningful sum of annual fees, and it’s important that you are aware of the benefits these cards entitle you to, and how you can receive full value from them.
